Your Aldea account is secured by a user ID and password. When your account was created, a welcome message was sent to you with your specific login information and additional help. The subject of the message was "Information about your new user account on the Aldea Web site".
HP Users:
HP users use their HP NT ID and their HP computer password to access the site. Your password is not maintained on the Aldea Web site. Follow the HP standards to maintain your HP computer password. See How To Change Your Password for more information.
On the Aldea login page:
User ID: your NP NT ID (NOTE: it is no longer required that you enter your NT Domain with your HP NT ID.) Password: Your HP Computer password
TIP: If you enter your correct NT domain in the User ID field, with a backslash (\) and your NT ID (e.g. Americas\cooksmc), and the domain on your Aldea user account is not correct, you will be able to login and the domain on your user account will be changed to the correct domain that you entered. If you enter an incorrect domain on the login page, but the domain on your user account is correct, you will still be logged in with the correct domain and your user account will not be updated. Valid domain possibilities are: 'Americas', 'EMEA.CPQCORP.NET', and 'AsiaPacific' (without quotes).
NOTE: If you do not yet have HP credentials, you should continue to use your EDS Net id and password.
Other Users:
Other users use a site-specific user ID and will be prompted to change their password at regular intervals (generally every 30 days). The Aldea password is not automatically changed when you update a password anywhere besides this site.
User ID: User ID (supplied in Aldea welcome message) Password: system assigned (supplied in Aldea welcome message)
Note: Users who receive a system assigned password are required to change it at their initial login and for each subsequent administrator password reset. Your password should be whatever you chose when you changed it.
You may have the welcome message resent to the email address on your user account by selecting the 'Forgot your password?' option on the Aldea login page. This mechanism will cause your password to be changed to a random value that you will have to change on next login. This mechanism will also immediately unlock your account should it have become locked due to too many failed login attempts.
